Check the SIP trunk
Check that the SIP trunk is active via the Asterisk command-line interface:
root@xivo:~# asterisk -r
xivo*CLI> sip show registry
Host dnsmgr Username Refresh State Reg.Time
sip.ippi.com:5060 N identifiant 105 Registered Thu, 28 June 2007 20:00:00
1 SIP registrations.
The ippi trunk is now registered.
Set up incoming calls
In IPBX > Call Management > Incoming Calls, click "+".
In the General tab, fill in and click "Save":
Parameter | Value |
|---|
DID | your ippi username |
Context | Incoming calls ippi (from-ippi) |
Destination | User |

Set up outgoing calls
In Outgoing Calls, click "+".
In the General tab, name the rule (e.g. "ippi") and add trunk_ippi from the list on the left.
Fill in and click "Save":
Parameter | Value |
|---|
Extension | 9XXXXXXXXXX
|
Stripnum | 1
|
This means that when a phone dials an 11-digit number starting with 9, the first digit is stripped before the call is placed on the ippi trunk.
Finally, reload Asterisk (IPBX > Control System > Reload Asterisk) to test the new trunk.
To make unlimited calls from your IP PBX, see the ippi SIP trunk.
